When GF and I
first moved out here to Rabbit Run, we didn't have tv and I have to say I didn't miss it much. As a matter of fact, I was pretty vocal when GF wanted Dish so she could watch Auburn football. Vocal or not, I didn't win the argument
But now, GF has decided that "we" waste to much time on tv and has canceled Dish. Fine by me, I didn't like having all those channels when we watched less than ten.
Anyway, it looks like it's back to liberal taxpayer radio, talk, a few shows on local tv and rental dvd's. The news I get online.
Speaking of the liberal taxpayer radio
I’m a man of varied musical taste.
I started off life listening to the Porter Waggoner show on Saturday while my mother ironed the clothes that had waited patiently in the refrigerator . I had less interest in the music than in the Lone Ranger show that came on next.
From old country to surfing, to the overrated Beatles (the early years) to hard core rock, to metal, to blues, to rhythm to jazz to religious, most have been staples in my listening repertoire at one time or another.
Well, except hip hop, gansta, classical and opera. That is until my radio reception limited me to NPR. In my Walden days (I'll post on that one day) and later in the limited reception of the Pathfinder with the coathanger antenna and Rabbit Run, Opera and Classical, became old familiars.
Saturday mornings on my way to rabbit hunts, it is classical. You know when you’ve been listening to it way to much when there is a trivia show and you start getting the right answers
